Sacred Spaces

There are a lot of exciting events happening for Vital Switch this Fall, but first I want to express my excitement and gratitude that we are going to have some art work done in our Vital Switch office in New York by Yohanna Jessup, an artist and the creator of Painting Sacred Spaces – a process combining meditative awareness and wall painting techniques. We are going to have a small mural based on our logo painted in our office. I cannot wait. Yohanna is in New York October 17th – 24th and does have room for more bookings. If you want to know more, she writes a great blog sharing about the process of creating sacred spaces.

NY Meditation Meetup Saturday Oct 15 @ 3pm

I am looking forward to the next New York meditation meetups tomorrow, (Saturday October 15th) 3-5pm at the NY Core Center, 115 E23rd St, 12th floor, NY, NY. There will be another one two weeks later, Saturday October 28th 3-5pm. See our events page for further information. (Due to overwhelming demand, we have a new venue which allows more people to come to the meeting tomorrow!)

New York Meditation Weekend Workshop

The next weekend meditation workshop will be on February 11th and 12th at the New York Core Center. It will be a wonderful opportunity to go deeper into your meditation practice, and if the last two were anything to go by, will likely be booked out. See our events page for further information.

Vital Switch in Toronto & Ottawa, CA

I am also delighted to announce that I will be going to Canada to host events, and see 1-on-1 clients in both Toronto and Ottowa.
I will be in Toronto November 11, 12, 13 and 14th. I will then be in Ottawa the following week, November 19 – 22nd.
There will be a free information evening about meditation in Ottawa on Monday evening November 21st.

Dear Friends and meditators,

Welcome back from the Summer. We trust that you have had a wonderful holiday, survived the storm, and are now ready to embrace the next phase of life.

I just wanted to let you know that we will continue to host New York meditation meetups throughout the Fall and Winter months of 2011/12. The next New York meditation meetup will be on Saturday October 15th 3-5pm at the Vital Switch office, 80 E11th ST, suite 436. There will be another one two weeks later, Saturday October 28th 3-5pm at the same location. See our events page for further information. (There is a limit of 8 people for each meeting)

Vital Switch is also delighted to introduce Annette Kurtz (Space Clearing Practitioner), newest member to the Red Alchemy team. Annette will be in New York, with Red Alchemy founder Tracey Stanton, September 16th – 24th. Tracey is booked out for clearings, but Annette does have some spaces. Since the Red Alchemy team is only able to be on the East Coast a few times a year and we highly value their services, it is a great opportunity that we wanted you to know about. Here at Vital Switch we are very excited to be supporting 3 meditation workshops on the East Coast of North America in the coming month. It seems it is the season to be meditating!

There is a weekend meditation workshop this coming weekend May 14th and 15th in Toronto, Canada with about 20 people already signed up to attend.

In New York there is a weekend meditation workshop with Matteus Levell going ahead on June 4th and 5th.

Facilitator Matteus Levell
Matteus has more than 18 years of intensive training in meditation-based techniques, including the ISIS technique, as taught through the Clairvision School of meditation. He has led workshops in Australia, Singapore, Philippines and the US. His workshops have all centered around dynamic energy cultivating meditation practices to be passed on this weekend in New York.
Through his New York city private practice, Matteus gives individual ISIS sessions under the Vital Switch banner. Through his unique combination of Heart and precision he specializes in creating a space of clarity and direction, that assists his clients in cutting through to the very action or decision that will bring about change in their lives. The essence of the technique is in guiding the client to a greater depth of connection to more profound parts of themselves. Once this depth has been accessed, then the sense of peace, clarity and purpose are more readily accessible.

Thank you to everyone who came to the Clutter Clearing and Space Clearing workshops with Tracey Stanton, they were wonderful.
I also want to express gratitude and say how much I enjoyed writing a post titled “The Seduction Power of Venus” for Lyuve the art, beauty, life blog.

Here at Vital Switch, we are now getting ready for some awesome meditation events in both New York, USA and Toronto, Canada. In New York we have a series of meditation meetups and a seminar.

There is a meditation meetup on Friday May 6th at 7pm in Manhattan and a meditation seminar at the Meta Center on Wednesday May 11th.

For now, some notes about undoing emotional patterns:

How do you undo emotional patterns?

The experience of emotional stuck-ness is one of the main things that makes modern people different from people in the past. People today think a lot more than people 100 or 200 years ago. And our emotions are generally a lot more intense, more gripping, more heavy than they were in the past.

You don’t have to take my word for it, go to the Internet and search Google images for “people farming 1900″. People in the past did not have the same emotional tension nor the amount of mental stimulation that we have today. Globalization, the speed of change in technology (Moore’s Law) and information overload all mean that we have a lot more stimulation than ever before.

Interestingly, the etymology of the word stress (see etymonline.com) as a reference to a psychological state was first attested to in 1942. Prior to that time the word stress referred to a physical compression, hardship or pressure. The word stress is now extremely well used around the world to illustrate how much emotional and mental pressure people experience.

At Vital Switch we see much of the emotional and mental tension experienced by people today as being a result of the blockages and the conditioning that holds us back. The emotional scars from the past and the social or cultural conditioning which stop people from being true to themselves can be undone with the meditation style of therapeutic techniques that we use called ISIS.

The secret of the ISIS technique is that it uses the principles of meditation to help people get to the source of the reason they are stuck. My experience is that when you actually see the real source of an emotional blockage, or a stuck belief system, then you can make a real choice to step out of that patterning.
